“I was someone who was hyperaware of styles and I needed to do it on a budget,” said Kathryn Finney, who started the Budget Fashionista out of her City Avenue apartment; today, the New Jersey-based blog gets two million hits a month.

“It’s a word that came directly from the fashion world, and its evolution is proof that fashion affects all of us.”
